Soft banks provide a beautiful soft illumination, often compared to the window light of old European master painters. It's easy to use your Novatron flash heads in a soft bank from manufacturers such as Chimera, Photoflex, and Westcott. Use the MI-016 with our 2103-FC bare tube flash head plus M150, M300, M500, M600 Monolights. (For enjoying a soft bank with our flash heads that have built-in reflectors, use the MI-010). There's room for up to ten rods for rectangular or octagonal banks. The ring is the connection point for the soft bank's rods. The inner ring rotates for the perfect 360 degrees positioning of the bank. It also takes advantage of a good tight fit between the lighting instrument and the ring by using all four fastening screws and a secure bayonet style locking design.
